Application and working principle
The bandage heater is designed for prestarting and sustaining heating of the fine filter at temperatures down to -40 ° C.
The heater is a development company "NOMAKON" and has been successfully operating in many countries for more than 15 years, including in the Far North, providing uninterrupted operation of diesel engines of all types of vehicles, including special equipment. During its release, more than 150 thousand drivers were able to assess its efficiency and high reliability.
5 - 10 minutes of warming up before starting the engine ensure the dissolution of petroleum paraffins in the volume of the fine filter and guarantee the filterability of diesel fuel. Thus, the main obstacle in the path of fuel through the fuel line is eliminated and conditions for stable engine operation are created.
The bandage heater is installed only on filters with a metal housing.
Efficiency
You can evaluate the efficiency of the heater by watching a video recorded during tests on the intensity of heating of the fine filter.
The initial filter temperature is -22 ° C. Demonstration speed increased by 10 times. The real warm-up time is shown in the upper right corner.
Installation
The heater is put on the filter housing as shown in the figure and is fixed with clamps. To increase the heating efficiency, it is recommended to lubricate the inner surface of the heater with a heat-resistant grease in order to fill the air gaps between the surfaces of the heater and the filter. Connection to the vehicle's on-board network is made using one of the schemes given in the passport depending on the type of control.
For the correct choice of the heater, it is necessary to measure the filter diameter and the height of its cylindrical part. Our model range allows you to match the heater to any filter housing.
Control
The control of the heater is determined by its configuration at the time of purchase.
There are two options - fully manual control, when the heater is switched on / off both in prestart and cruise mode by a switch in the passenger compartment.
The second option is a heater with a timer, which will automatically turn off the heating after 10 minutes of operation in pre-start mode. The heater can also be turned on in cruise mode without time limit.
Quality and guarantees
The design of the heaters excludes the possibility of overheating and optimizes energy consumption.
They remain operational when the supply voltage changes within 90-125%.
The service life of the heater is at least 5 years, the mean time between failures is at least 3000 hours.
Choosing a model
So, to select a model, you need to know the supply voltage of your car (12 or 24V), the diameter and height of the filter. And also which control method suits you.
