Description of the design of IR heaters

Infrared heaters of the EIUS-100 series (see Figure 1) include reflector 1 made of high-alloy polished stainless steel sheet AISI 304 or AISI 321 with installed ceramic emitters 4 of the TSC-101 brand, terminal box 2 with ceramic terminal blocks for connection emitters to an external electric cable, as well as brackets 3 for fixing the heater to a metal frame. Terminal box 2 and brackets 3 are made of zinc-plated carbon steel.

For ceramic heaters of the EIUS-200 series, reflector 1 is installed inside housing 5. Reflector 1 and housing 5 are made of high-alloy polished stainless steel sheet type AISI 304 or AISI 321. Ceramic radiators IKN-101 are installed inside reflector 1. Terminal box 2 with ceramic terminal blocks connection of radiators to an external electric cable is installed on the body 5. Bracket 6 for installing the heater on the ceiling or on the wall is attached to the terminal box 2. Terminal box 2 and bracket 6 are made of carbon steel with continuous galvanizing. The presence of housing 5 with side shutters for heaters of the EIUS-200 series makes it possible to reduce convection heat losses from the contact of radiators with ambient air, stabilize and increase the temperature of the radiators and, accordingly, increase the radiant efficiency and the efficiency of directional radiant heating. To install several heaters in one section for the purpose of surface heating of materials and drying, as shown in Figure 1, the mounting bracket 6 is replaced by two brackets 3 for attaching the heater to a common frame.

The heaters are produced with a single-phase AC supply voltage of 230 V, 50 Hz. For housings with three emitters EIUS-113 and EIUS 213, it is possible to connect a three-phase supply voltage of 380 V, 50 Hz with an internal connection of the emitters with a star. 

If it is required to control the power of infrared heating by the temperature of the emitting surface, then a corresponding TSC-101 emitter of version 2 with a temperature sensor in the form of a thermocouple TXA (chromel-alumel) type "K" is installed in the housing. In this case, the heater is equipped with an additional thermocouple cable to the control device, which is included in the common metal hose of the cable connection.
