Principle of operation and design
The flow heater is designed for continuous (cruising) heating of diesel fuel in the fuel line while driving or with the engine running.
The heater can be installed anywhere in the fuel line, including outside the engine compartment. The design of the heater is designed in such a way that there is no direct contact of the heating elements with the fuel, which increases the reliability and service life of the heater.
Installation
The operating position of the flow heater is vertical. In this case, the inlet and outlet fittings are located horizontally. The direction of fuel movement is indicated by arrows on the fittings.
The heater is attached to the bracket in the engine compartment with two screws. The ends of the fuel line are secured to the fittings with clamps.
Connection to the vehicle's on-board network is carried out according to the scheme given in the passport. The interior LED lights up when the heating is switched on.
Control
The flow heater has automatic control.
The electronics turns on heating when the fuel temperature drops below + 5 ° C and turns it off when this temperature is exceeded.
The heater with an electronic control unit is switched on in the heating mode only after the engine is started with the generator running, which removes the load from the battery. The heating elements used in this device exclude the possibility of fuel overheating above critical temperatures, and ensure its complete safety.
Quality and guarantees
They remain operational when the supply voltage changes within 90-125%.
The service life of the heater is at least 5 years, the mean time between failures is at least 3000 hours.
Choosing a model
Heaters of the PP-301 model are designed for passenger cars with a voltage of 12 V on-board network, with a diesel fuel consumption on the highway (taking into account the return flow) up to 150 l / h. PP-302 heaters - for trucks, buses and tractors with an on-board voltage of 24 V and a fuel consumption of up to 420 l / h.
Flow heaters also differ in the diameter of the nozzles: for 12V models - 6.5 / 9 mm (internal / external), 24V - 9/12 mm (internal / external)
Can be used in vehicles with fuel pressure up to 9 atm.
