Filter separator heaters PS-200

PS-200 series heaters are designed for prestarting and sustained heating of diesel fuel in Mann-Hummel PreLane filters-separators

Designed for prestarting and cruising heating.

The heater works in automatic mode and does not require the participation of the driver. When the fuel temperature is below + 5C, the heater turns on. When the fuel temperature is above + 5C, heating is turned off.

Unlike a standard heater, which can be equipped with a filter-separator, the PS-200 device has a number of significant advantages:

Instead of a plastic case - in the serial version, the PS200 heater is made of an aluminum alloy and has a 2.5 times larger heat-dissipating surface area, which provides a real power of 350 W;

The sensor that monitors the temperature of the fuel is installed at the outlet of the filter, and not in the heater housing, which guarantees high accuracy of temperature measurement. As a result, the heating is switched on and off in accordance with the actual fuel temperature - (5ºC + -2ºC), while when the sensor is in the same housing with the heater, its readings are distorted as a result of the thermal effect of the heating elements.

The heater has an intelligent electronic control system, the algorithm of which for the first time takes into account the characteristic features of vehicle operation, such as changes in fuel consumption, engine stops, battery charge level and automatically adjusts the heater operation depending on these changes. For example, the heating power is regulated automatically, depending on the fuel consumption and its temperature, which eliminates overheating and minimizes energy consumption.

The heater is installed in a special slot located on the filter-separator housing. In this case, the temperature sensor is installed at the outlet of the filter, as shown in the figure.

Connection to the on-board network must be made according to the diagram (see. passport).

They remain operational when the supply voltage changes within 90-125%.

The service life of the heater is at least 5 years, the mean time between failures is at least 3000 hours.
