Diesel heater selection

To correctly select the number, type, model and modification of the diesel heaters you need, you need to know:

  1. The voltage of the on-board network of your car (12 or 24 V).
  2. The lowest air temperature at which you will operate the car.

For example, we will proceed from temperatures -5 ° С, -15 ° С, -25 ° С, -40 ° С.

Based on the operating conditions and experience of using the company's heaters "Nomakon", we offer the following types of diesel heaters for installation:

How to choose a diesel heater for fine filter?

As you can see from the table, in any case you need a fine fuel filter heater.

See what material the body of the fine filter of your car is made of.

If the filter element is in a metal case, it will suit you band heater.

If it is a filter with M16x1.5 mm thread - disc heater designed just for him.

If you have a plastic filter - you need flexible heater.

Be careful!
Bandage heaters must not be installed on plastic filters!

Consider how you want to control the heating of the filter.

Any of the filter heaters can be ordered either fully manually or with a timer that will automatically shut off the heater after 10 minutes of heating.

All heaters have voltage modifications - 12V and 24V.

How to choose a diesel flow heater?

Flow heaters differ in supply voltage - 12V and 24V, fuel throughput and control method.

You can purchase a pre-heater with automatic control, which turns on heating when the fuel temperature is below + 5 ° C and turns it off when this temperature is exceeded. Such a heater does not require driver intervention. There is also an option with manual control.

Selection of a heater for heating the fuel in the tank (in the fuel intake area)?

For this, heated nozzles are produced for standard fuel intakes, as well as heated fuel intakes.

At relatively high operating temperatures (up to -15 ° C), it is often enough to install one of the nozzles produced by the company "Nomakon", to provide prestart and march heating.

The main difference between the proposed models of attachments is their power. To select a model, it is necessary to take into account the presence of other heaters or any other consumers operating from the battery at the same time. If available, it is recommended to select heaters of lower power in order to reduce the load on the battery during the pre-start period.

It should also be borne in mind that the nozzles of the series NTP-100, NTP-200 and NTP-300 are installed on the standard fuel intake tube with a diameter of 10 or 12 mm.

In cases where it is impossible to install the nozzle for design reasons, it is recommended to install a heated fuel inlet of the TP-100 series. In addition to electric heating, it is additionally heated by the heat of the "return" - hot fuel that goes back to the tank.

If the car is operated at lower temperatures (-20 ° C and below), where the electric heating capacity is insufficient, it is recommended to install one of the types of fuel inlets TP-200 or TP-300, additionally heated by antifreeze. In most cases, such fuel pickups are made to order. For advice, please contact our specialists or the nearest to you dealer.

If a fuel pump is installed in the tank of your car, then it has been developed for this case. Such nozzles can be placed directly inside the fuel pump or underneath its strainer. They are versatile, efficient and inexpensive - ideal for passenger cars.

To achieve a guaranteed result, it is recommended to install a set of heaters - a fine filter heater (band, disc or flexible), an instantaneous heater and a suitable model for you.
